Steklinek is a village that was first mentioned in 1538 as a possession of Łochocińscy family, then Nałęcz and Brzezińscy family. Here there are ruins of a manor house with park from 19th century. They are located on the north from Steklińskie Lake. The house and grounds were built on a plan of a rectangle. The central place was the manor house. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by a fire in 20’s. The plan of the building is uncertain, it is known only that the front of the manor house was on the south side and an alley leaded to it. After the fire, owners of the manor house rebuilt and renovated old granary. Nowadays only the park has its initial shape with three ponds, old birches, a linden line on the front side and alleys.
Other interesting objects in the village are two roadside shrines that are characteristic to Polish countryside. One of them is located about 200 m from TRATWA. What is interesting, there gather on a prayer people from the village almost every May and October afternoon.

There is also a lake in the village, Steklińskie Lake, but because of its big depth and steep cost it is hard to swim there, although it is a wonderful and quiet place for fishing. There are two small shops close to the lake.
To sum up, you can find space and calm there in Steklinek. Our TRATWA is a wonderful place surrounded by meadows and fields where you can rest and feel the touch of nature. Here you can hear birds voices early in the morning and see rabbits, deer, cows partridges and pheasants on the fields what is unusual attraction for all city-lovers. Animals wait for children here – two dogs-therapists Zulia and Tove, two horses that are used to horse therapy – Magnat and Legar, two goats Lucy and Zuza and three cats – Pamela, Mika and Sasha. In the summertime you can pick fruits right from the trees in our garden. Evenings around the fire gather everybody (and everything – including mosquitoes ;-P). The area is made for walking and cycling and clear dark sky over TRATWA amazes all fans of astronomy.
Enjoy your time at TRATWA ;-)
